SUMMARY:Fishtrap Presents: Poetry Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Eric Greenwell for a four-week writing workshop Wednesday evenings in June. "Naming the Silence" welcomes writers of all genres\, experience and encourages discoveries in any form. The lines may go all the way across the page or stop short and start again. It's up to each person. By looking at works from other writers together\, and by generating new writing through optional prompts\, the class will explore the delights and challenges of naming one's own silence while helping writers reveal more about what they see and reveal about themselves each time they try to put their story into words.\n\n \n\nEric Greenwell is a conservationist\, writer\, and writing teacher. Recipient of Writing in the Wild and Centrum Writers' Conference fellowships\, he was the 2016-2017 PEN/Margery Davis Boyden Wilderness Writing Resident. He has taught at Centrum Writers' Conference\, The Writer's Workshop in downtown Port Townsend\, and University of Idaho. His work has appeared in Boston Review\, Terrain.org\, and Moss among other magazines and journals.\n\n \n\n"Naming the Silence" runs Wednesdays in June from 6:30-8:30pm at Fishtrap in Enterprise. Seating is limited to 12. Register at Fishtrap.org or call 541-426-3623.
