SUMMARY:FREE Community Dinner
DESCRIPTION:The dinners are open to everyone no cost\, no requirements\, and no reservations needed. The goal of the Monday Night Community Dinners is simple: to offer nourishment and connection during the winter months and beyond. In a rural county where isolation can be as challenging as food insecurity\, these dinners provide a warm\, welcoming space for neighbors to sit together\, share a meal\, and build relationships. The initiative is supported by local volunteers\, chefs\, and food procurement partners who have long been involved in community-based food efforts in Wallowa County. The newly expanded kitchen at The Place including updated pantry space and refrigeration makes it possible to prepare and serve meals more efficiently and sustainably. "Our hope is that Monday nights become a place where anyone can walk in\, find a seat\, and feel like they belong\," said Pastor Beth Estock. "Good food has a way of bringing people together.
