DESCRIPTION:This is a fun and easy-to-learn technique that puts an artsy looseness to even the simplest of line drawings. Beginners and high school students are welcome.\n\n \n\nInk-Paint Resist is a technique where water-soluble poster paint or gouache is used to protect the canvas from a coat of waterproof India ink. The end result is an image reminiscent of a wood block print. Resist techniques are fun because they are not completely controllable.\n\n \n\nIn this class we will practice this technique with a small pre-drawn canvas before moving on to a larger and final art piece. For the final art\, if you'd like to create an image of your choosing\, come to class with a simple line drawing that fits on an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper. If you don't have one\, no worries\, pre-drawn options will be available to use. By the end of the class you will have a finished work of art.\n\n\n\nIn this workshop you will use materials that can stain clothing\, please dress accordingly.\n\n3 student minim to run workshop.
