DESCRIPTION:Alan Lertzman will be speaking at the Josephy Center.  Alan Lertzman is a graduate of Georgia Military Academy\, Ohio State University\, the Artillery Officers Candidate School at Fort Bliss Texas and also a former member of the Cupertino\, California Rotary Club.  During the Korean War\, he served as artillery forward observer.\n\n \n\nHe currently is a member of a veterans group who visit high schools and remind students about the courage and sacrifices of young Americans in previous wars. Last year Alan and his wife\, Lynn\, visited South Korea as guests of the South Korean government to thank Korean veterans for their support in the war with North Korea.\n\n \n\nAfter retirement\, Alan and his wife\, relocated to Portland in order to be closer to their two daughters and grandchildren.  Alan is a Vice President of the Oregon Trail Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association.  This event is sponsored by the Wallowa County Rotary Club.
