DESCRIPTION:Each July\, the Homeland becomes a place of reunion for descendants of the original inhabitants of Walawa\, the Wallowa county. Year after year\, participants enjoy three days of song and dance\, culminating in a Walasit service and Friendship feast. Descendants\, locals \,and visitors attend together.\n\n\n\nFriday Schedule: 7 PM Roll call\, Social Dancing- points given for participation if in regalia\n\n\n\nSaturday Schedule: 9 AM Horse procession\n\n                             1 PM Grand Entry\, Contest & Social Dancing\n\n                             7 PM Grand Entry\, Contest & Social Dancing\n\n                                      Points given for Grand Entry & Exit Participation\n\n\n\nSunday Schedule: 9 AM Walasit Service at Wallowa Longhouse\n\n                           12 PM Friendship Potluck at Dance Arbor\, bring a dish to share\n\n                           2 PM Grand Entry\n\n                                    Contest & Social Dancing\n\n                                    Contest Dance Finale\n\n\n\nFriday & Saturday mornings open for Memorials and Namings.
