SUMMARY:The Future of Worksource
DESCRIPTION:Job Growers is partnering with other local workforce investment boards and the Oregon Employment Department in hosting a series of strategy sessions across Oregon to identify how the state's workforce system can be more effectively tied to regional needs. \n\n \n\nYou won't find a sales pitch for state services or a conversation about incremental tweaks. These sessions are dialogues on how we can deliver high value services to our customers and what we need to do more of or less of to connect qualified workers to employers. \n\n \n\nThis is a critical step in the state's effort to integrate services and redesign the workforce system to enhance Oregon's competitive position. It is one of those rare times when we have the ability to re-examine WorkSource as a system rather than just one or two services at a time. \n\n \n\nYour input helps local workforce investment boards and the Oregon Employment Department allocate resources where they are needed most. Without an honest dialogue with customers and service providers it will be difficult\, nearly impossible\, to ensure workforce services are effectively deployed.
