SUMMARY:Tunesmith Night
DESCRIPTION:The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance continues the 18th season of Tunesmith Night\, a showcase of original music. The concert features three songwriters sharing their original work in a round-robin format\, at the historic Enterprise Odd Fellows Hall. The unique listening space provides an up-close and intimate experience for both audience and performers.\n\n \n\nThe Saturday\, March 9 concert features John Moro\, Noble Holt\, and Steve Fulton. Doors open at 6:30pm with music starting at 7pm. Admission is $10. Drink service provided.\n\n \n\nLongtime Joseph resident John Moro says he's just a "fun loving musician who likes writing politically and existentially motivated songs and sometimes a heartfelt one." Dylan inspired him to write protest songs and read Krishnamurti\, but Moro has also been influenced by bands from James Brown to Third Eye Blind and beyond\, and loves playing Celtic music as much as rock and roll. \n\nSteve Fulton is a long time singer-songwriter\, producer and recording engineer based in Boise Idaho\, where he owns and operates Audio Lab recording studios. For 12 years Fulton was singer\, guitarist and principal songwriter in the group House of Hoi Polloi in which time they released five albums and toured the northwest extensively. Steve has released 3 Records on his Uncommon Records label\, Shock Remission\, Said & Heard and\, Eponym. Eponym was the #1 seller at independent record store\, The Record Exchange in 2016. Fulton is a personable fingerstyle acoustic guitarist in an Americana\, modern folk\, singer-songwriter style with a funky twist. Think John Prine meets Elliot Smith. Fulton has opened for Bruce Cockburn\, Tori Amos\, Jewel\, Shawn Colvin\, John Hiatt\, Michael Franti and the Wallflowers to name a few. He was the recipient of The Idaho Commission on the Arts Fellowship Grant in 2009 as well as the Mayor's Choice award that same year. Learn more at www.stevefultonmusic.com\n\nNoble Holt is a 20 year-old guitar player and singer songwriter from Boise\, Idaho. He writes songs and performs in two bands in the valley called Captain SNAFU and Moon Owl's Mages playing different shades of rock n roll\, but holds a strong love for writing deeply personal folk and classic country which he performs in solo and duo shows often.
