DESCRIPTION:A two-day intensive workshop with part-time Lostine resident Nancy Clarke\, practicing etching using solarplates\; featuring a brief on the intaglio process. This workshop is for both beginners and experienced printmakers. Solarplate is a light sensitized steel-backed polymer material used as an alternative to hazardous printing techniques. Solarplates are a simple\, safe\, and fast approach to etching that does not use grounds\, acids or solvents. Students need to bring 2-3 designs/drawings about 6 X 8 or fit therein. Ink\, paper and all instruction is included in registration fee. Artwork can be created by hand drawing\, computer printout\, or with photographic methods.
