DESCRIPTION:Unstuck: Defeating Writers' Block\, Generating New Ideas\, and Making Space for YOUR Writing Practice\n\nAn online workshop with Catherine Johnson\n\nWednesdays in April 5\,12\,19\,26\n\n6:00pm pacific time two-hour workshop sessions\n\nRegistration $240 (Fishtrappers $215)\n\n \n\nRegister Now\n\n \n\nThere is no shortage of advice for writers on how to build a prolific writing practice\, but life doesn't always make space to accommodate this wisdom. In this workshop\, we'll talk about logistical writing challenges\, strategies for overcoming writers' block (or writers' overwhelm if you have too many ideas and don't know where to start)\, how to be real about balancing your writing with YOUR life\, and dedicate workshop time for your own practice. This is for writers of any genre\, at any stage in the writing process\, who want to strengthen their practice through connection with a writing community. Registrants can expect to get practical ideas for breaking through their specific obstacles\, but also dedicated time during the workshop when they can count on having the time to write.\n\n \n\nCatherine Johnson's work has been published in Oregon Humanities\, Hypertext\, Coachella Review\, Kithe\, Propeller\, Gulf Stream\, STORGY\, Portland Monthly Magazine\, Nowhere Travel Magazine and is forthcoming in and the anthology Evergreen: Fairy Tales\, Essays & Fables from the Dark Northwest. She has an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Portland State University\, and was a 2021 Fishtrap Fellow. Catherine is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
