27th Annual Summer Fishtrap,  What sets Summer Fishtrap apart from other writing conferences is our remote mountain lake setting, a focus on a provocative theme related to living and writing in the west and on the generation of new writing.  Fishtrap readings, workshops, classes, conferences, fellowship. Fishtrap is about "Writing and the West. Located in the northeast corner of Oregon, at the foot of the the Wallowa Mountains' Eagle Cap Wilderness and a stone's throw from Hells Canyon of the Snake River in Nez Perce Country. Summer Fishtrap is held at scenic Wallowa Lake. Imnaha Writers' Retreat is in April and October.
