6th Annual Countdown to Chief Joseph Days Rodeo
The 6th Annual Countdown to CJD Rodeo is hosted by a committee of the CJD Rodeo. The fun begins on Friday at 2pm with a ride to the top of the moraine, from the Harley Tucker Arena. Later that evening, there will be a social hour at 5pm and a beef dinner will be served in the Thunderroom at 6pm. Following dinner there will be the team auction. Each team will be auctioned in a Calcutta an the top three teams will receive 75% of the money.
The rodeo on Saturday, is open to cowboys & cowgirls. The teams will ride through Joseph at 3:30 pm. Mutton busting for the kids starts at the Harley Tucker Arena at 4:30pm. The rodeo will begin at 5:00pm. This event will raise money for scholarships to local high school seniors. Come root for your favorite Wallowa County ranch as they compete for cash and bragging rights. To sign up for the team competition or the bronc riding, call Robin Lewis at 541-432-5943.
