AARP Smart Driver Class

The AARP Smart Driver course, a new and enhanced driving refresher course from AARP Driver Safety, will be offered at Wallowa County Senior Center, 701 NW 1st Street, Enterprise 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 19. The class will be taught by certified volunteer instructor Frederick Moore. Participants can register by calling 541- 426-3840. Arrive early to complete paperwork. If a member of AARP, bring a membership card.  AARP Smart Driver Course participants will learn defensive driving skills, proven safety strategies, the latest driving technologies and how to manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.

Certain participants may be eligible for a multi-year insurance discount after taking the course. Participants are encouraged to check with their insurance agent to see if they are eligible. There are no tests required to pass the course.
