Brown Bag Lunch

Brown Bag is a free event that feature informal presentations and discussions on the first and third or more, Tuesday noons of each month.  Join us today with Jim Akenson, Conservation Director of the Oregon Hunters Association, calls his talk “Hunting and Conservation: 100 Years Back/ 30 Years Ahead...to Non-Lead.”

Lead--as in bullets and hooks used to hunt and fish--is in the news, a matter of controversy and concern with hunters, fish and game officials, biologists, Indian tribes, and, I imagine, with the producers of bullets and hooks. Please join us Tuesday for an hour and learn what people across the spectrum are saying and doing about the issue.

Akenson is a long-time outdoorsman and researcher, and the co-author, with his wife, Holly, of 7003 Days: 21 Years in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.

Brown Bag programs are free and open to the public at the Josephy Center on Main Street in Joseph, Oregon.
