Eagle Cap Excursion Train: Fall Foliage Bonus Run

Fall colors are the highlight of our autumn trips, and photographers especially love this time of year. Our Two Rivers run capitalizes on the beauty and quiet of fall. Some trips have special entertainment or guest experts.

Autumn lasts for several weeks, offering an ever-changing palette of oranges, golds and burgundy leaves and ending with the showy yellow brilliance of the Western Larch, a deciduous conifer that is known locally as the Tamarack. On this train ride, passengers can enjoy a longer trip as we go all the way to Minam and back. This ride covers about 52 miles, round trip, taking you further and letting you enjoy more scenery than our standard ride. Lunch is served on the train and a special end-of-the-trip treat is also included. Departs from Elgin Depot at 10 a.m. and returns at about 3 p.m.
