Farm and Ranch Succession - Planning Workshop

Two-thirds of Oregon's agricultural land will change hands in the next 20 years, but the vast majority of Oregon's farmers and ranchers don't have a succession plan. If this interests you, come March 13 at 5 p.m. for a timely event on an important topic.

  • Learn about recent research by Oregon State University, Portland State University and Rogue Farm Corps about agricultural land transition (see Capital Press article).
  • Hear from Enterprise-based Paige Sully about the steps to passing your legacy to the next generation.
  • Learn from a panel of landowners who have been through the process.
  • Hear from Wallowa Land Trust about working lands conservation easements as a tool to help you plan for succession and leave a legacy.
Nellie McAdams, Farm Preservation Program Director with Rogue Farm Corps, will lead the workshop. Light dinner included.  RSVP to Nellie  nellie@roguefarmcorps.org . NEOEDD is co-sponsoring this great event!
