Fishtrap Public Events

Come join and help celebrate Fishtrap's 30th Birthday Party.  There will readings by Anis Mojgani, Naomi Shihab Nye and music by Kate Power and Steve Einhorn.

Anis Mojgani—Author of three poetry collections, Anis Mojgani is a two-time National Poetry Slam Champion, winner of the International World Cup Poetry Slam, and has published work in journals such as Rattle, Forklift Ohio, Paper Darts, Thrush, and Bat City Review. 

Naomi Shihab Nye—A Guggenheim fellow and recipient of four Pushcart Prizes, Naomi Shihab Nye is an Arab-American poet, novelist, children’s writer, and former Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets.

Kate Power & Steve Einhorn—Featured on Garrison Keilor’s A Prairie Home Companion, Power and Einhorn are a powerful singer-songwriter duo specializing in the relationship between storytelling and song.
