Homebuying Workshop

Community Connection of Northeast Oregon, Inc. is sponsoring a Homebuying Education Workshop on Saturday, September 7th from 9 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Community Bank, 609 n Main Street, Joseph. This FREE workshop is being presented by Debbie MacBaker, the Housing Resource Manager of Community Connection. Attendees will learn from experts how to financially prepare for a home purchase, how to qualify for a loan, loan products available, and what the real estate and closing process entails. For those interested immediately following the workshop from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Debbie will present information about the First-Time Homeowner Individual Development Account program. You will learn how to save up to $12,000 in 3-to1 matched savings for a down payment, inspection fees, and closing costs. The workshop is FREE and lunch is provided.
