Joseph Drum Jam

Help celebrate Chief Joseph Days by drumming in the Maxville Courtyard located at 103 North Main Street, Joseph, OR 97846.

This special event will be facilitated by David Casteal. David is a huge fan of Joseph, Oregon and has been drumming for over 25 years. He has studied West African drumming in Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Senegal, and most of Southern Africa. Participants will learn a celebration rhythm called Djole (joe-lay). This rhythm is played at festivals, celebrations, and important occasions. Perfect for Chief Joseph Days!
