The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance announces the 15th annual JUNIPER JAM - The sweetest little music festival in Eastern Oregon! The big event takes place on Saturday, August 30, 2025 (that’s Labor Day Weekend) at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds in Enterprise, Oregon. This fun-filled day of music starts at 11:00 AM and continues non-stop on two stages, all day until about 10:00 PM. Festival-goers will enjoy many styles of music including folk, country, Americana, roots, rock and blues, as well as great food and drink, local artisans, plus children’s activities.
Although the musical genres presented at JUNIPER JAM are varied, the common thread is original music – honoring the song and its writer. Here’s a rundown of this year’s lineup:
We are thrilled to have country-rocker Ashleigh Flynn & the Riveters back to the festival this year—Country Standard Time says this about Flynn's new record Good Morning Sunshine: “The Portland, OR-based Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters are an all-female band playing "rock and roll with twang." While most of these tracks present a dynamic, carefree approach, the band prides itself on messages of hope and resilience as they aim to uplift marginalized voices and bring unity. The music merges a number of influences from bluegrass, soul and rock. One minute they're ripping off rockers, and in the next, they may settle into a lilting country ballad.” We’ll also hear the sweet crunchy guitar driven pop of Wallowa County favorite, Desolation Horse, led by Cooper Trail from Moscow, ID, the soulful Americana of Portland’s Karyn Ann, and the ever-quirky junkerdash of Boise’s Hillflok Noir. We are excited for Kansas based John Depew, who appeared at our Courthouse Concert Series last summer, now with his mando-banjo-bass prog-grass powerhouse trio. More great sounds coming from the Boise area include the Steve Fulton Trio (Americana/folk), Degler (indie rock), and folk-rock troubadour David Henry. To top off the lineup for this 15th year celebration is the mostly local mash-up band The Strange Striders, in their first ever appearance outside of their native habitat, the Range Rider.
Opening the Tunesmith stage this year will be a songwriters-in-the-round set from Sage Christie, Noble Holt and Rose Gerber. To warm things up when the gates open at 11am, we'll have music from our free-range buskers, Bill LaVoie and Jen Howard.
"JUNIPER JAM is Oregon’s only all-original music festival, and we’re looking forward to another eclectic lineup of bands." says festival director, Janis Carper. “As always, we are very grateful to our sponsors and hard-working volunteers who make this event possible.”
