Mother's Day on the Eagle Cap Excursion Train

Mother's Day is opening day for the Eagle Cap Excursion Train's 2013 season and an excellent opportunity to enjoy the beautiful spring scenery along the Grande Ronde and Wallowa Rivers. Always popular, the Mother's Day Brunch Train departs at 10 a.m. from the new Elgin Depot. Brunch is served during the 3.5 hour ride. The meal includes a selection of breakfast and lunch entrees, pastries, fruit and beverages, prepared by Ten Depot Street Restaurant in La Grande. Passengers can relax in their seats or move about the train. The open doors in the vestibules and baggage car offer excellent photo opportunities and viewing of the passing landscape.
