The Bad Penny Pleasuremakers at Terminal Gravity

New Orleans-based Bad Penny Pleasuremakers ,Matt Bell & Joy Patterson, met on a blind date shortly after Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, and have playing music & traveling together ever since. They play the kind of New Orleans music that would have been played in the bawdy houses in Storyville as well as on 78’s in staid double parlors on the other side of town. They play ragtime, acoustic blues, country blues & jazz from the turn of the century through the 40’s, with a smattering of good ol’ New Orleans classics & Honky Tonk tunes thrown in just for kicks. Whether playing as a duo or with some of the most talented cats on the face of this earth, you, as the listener, are invited to “..pack up your cares and woes..” and say “..Hello Bluebird, Hello!”
