JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Oncologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of various forms of cancer. This position is responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting, guiding patients and their support networks through complex diagnoses and treatment decisions.
The Oncologist collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s medical, emotional and social needs. In addition to clinical consultations, the Oncologist oversees the administration of chemotherapy and other cancer therapies within the Outpatient Infusion Department, supported by a team of skilled Infusion RNs. This role plays a vital part in ensuring quality, safety and continuity of care for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
The Outpatient Infusion department currently operates Tues - Thurs. The Provider's schedule has the ability to be very flexible depending on their preferences. A combination of in person and TeleMed visits are on option.
